Your Dream Helifishing Safari takes you on an adventurous, action-packed journey from Cairns to Weipa aboard a luxuriously appointed Bell 407GXi helicopter. Fish pristine waterways and secluded beaches that are relatively unexplored — accessible only by helicopter.

Over six days, explore some of Far North Queenslandu0027s most remote fishing locations between Cairns and Weipa. The combination of helicopter mobility and expert local guides means you fish a different spectacular location each day, targeting Barramundi, Giant Trevally, Queenfish, and a host of other tropical species.

The itinerary includes both helifishing and a dedicated boat charter day, plus accommodation ranging from twin-share lodges to glamping on remote Roko Island. April to October is the best season when the region is thriving and the fishing is at its peak.

Target Barramundi, Giant Trevally, Queenfish, Mangrove Jack, and Fingermark across remote river systems and coastal estuaries. The helicopter provides access to waters that hold exceptional fish numbers and quality.
