The Cobourg Peninsula is jointly managed by Aboriginal landowners and Parks and Wildlife, supporting over 250 fish species across 2,000+ square kilometres of Marine Park. Target Golden Snapper, Coral Trout, Jewfish, Saddletail Snapper, Stripeys, Red Emperor, and Cod.

Fishing methods include trolling, casting lures, and live baiting across the numerous fishing options within Port Essington and the surrounding coast.
